The Fruit Salad Olympics – Day Twelve

The Fruit Salad Olympics – Day Twelve

Image Description:
A cheerful illustrated poster for the Fruit Salad Olympics. Set against a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds, the image shows four anthropomorphic fruits — a smiling strawberry, a happy pineapple, a cheerful blueberry, and a lively banana — all leaping joyfully with their arms raised. Above them, large cream-colored text clearly reads “FRUIT SALAD OLYMPICS” in bold block letters. Below the title are the five Olympic-style rings in blue, black, red, yellow, and green. The entire scene is flat and cartoonish in style, using clean lines, vivid colors, and a playful tone

The Fruit Salad Olympics – Day Twelve: Custard Craters and Splat Sprints

Things got sticky today in the most spectacular way. Day Twelve brought custard-based catastrophe, heroic fruit flailing, and a final sprint so fast it peeled the paint off the smoothie coolers.

Event One: The Custard Crater Jump
Set in the newly constructed Pudding Pit Arena, this long jump variant saw competitors launching themselves over a jelly ramp and aiming for distance… before splatting into a giant vat of thick, cold vanilla custard.

Each jump was judged on distance, landing style, and the size of the splash.

Finalists included:

* Banana B.A. Peel (returning custard champion from a training camp incident)

* Kiwi Kim (surprisingly aerodynamic)

* Olive (Team Medley’s daredevil)

* Mango Max (who shouted “FOR THE FRUIT!” every time he ran)

Highlights:

* Olive did a triple spin and landed like a spoonful of elegance.

* Kiwi Kim’s jump was flawless… until her pip ricocheted and hit a judge.

* Banana B.A. Peel belly-flopped with a yell and got stuck in the custard upside down. His feet twitched for thirty seconds before he popped out and posed.

* Mango Max misjudged the launch and landed directly in the referee’s sandwich. Nobody was mad. It was hilarious.

Gold: Banana B.A. Peel
Silver: Olive
Bronze: Kiwi Kim

Event Two: Splat Sprint (Fruit Bowl 400)
A classic dash — but with hurdles made of jelly cubes, and a custard-slicked final stretch.

Competitors:

* Clementine Chloe

* Pineapple Pete

* Ruby Raspberry

* Gooseberry Gus

Highlights:

* Ruby Raspberry nearly lost control but recovered with a barrel roll.

* Pete’s hair caught the wind and worked like a sail.

* Gooseberry Gus tried to take a shortcut and ran into a sponsorship banner.

* But Clementine Chloe slid the final ten metres like a citrus torpedo and splashed across the finish line in record time.

Gold: Clementine Chloe
Silver: Ruby Raspberry
Bronze: Pineapple Pete

Elsewhere at the Games:

* Granny Smith refused to jump into custard. “I’m a fruit, not a pudding.”

* Figaro the Fig was seen composing a new ballad: “Elegy in E-Clair.”

* A strange faint humming was heard beneath the Pudding Pit Arena after the event. One judge described it as “a whirring… like an electric whisk whispering secrets.”
