The scorched photograph reveals more about the beginnings of the organisation above Bruno, while an old delivery slip points back towards Almond Square. At the mill, Ronnie and Rye-vita discover just how far above Bruno the chain really goes.
Episode Thirty – The Missing Unit
Ronnie and Rye-vita overhear Bruno taking orders from the mysterious figure above him, while the trail from Marzipan Storage Company leads back beneath Almond Square. Unit Three turns out to be much closer to home than anyone expected.
Episode 31 – Layers of Trouble
Unit Three reveals the old tunnel network beneath Walnutford and the surprising cargo moving through it. As Peggy and the others discover what the First Layer used the passages for, Bruno closes in from one side and something worse approaches from the mill.
Episode 32 – The Sprinkle Trail
The sprinkles reveal their real purpose as a test of Walnutford’s old tunnel network, while Dot remembers a mysterious ledger hidden beneath Almond Square. But when the group reaches its hiding place, somebody has already got there first.
Episode 33 – The Square Showdown
The confrontation spills into Almond Square as Peggy and the others expose what they have discovered beneath Walnutford. Bruno calls in the Buttered Bunch, but a black envelope reveals that the Brioche Boss may have far more to fear than he realised.
Episode 34 – The Last Crumb
Bruno’s grip on the Buttered Bunch finally collapses in Almond Square, but the missing First Layer ledger remains beyond everyone’s reach. As Walnutford celebrates, one final glimpse of the ledger points towards secrets still buried beneath the Queen Victoria Sponge.
