The Fairycakes Of Fluffwood Hollow – Volume One – The Jellybee Whisper – Chapter Six:

Image Description.

A whimsical, pastel-coloured woodland scene shows six anthropomorphic fairycakes gathered outside a cupcake-shaped house with a large swirl of frosting for a roof. A wooden sign reads “Welcome to Fluffwood Hollow,” and a small curved wafer bridge crosses a golden syrup stream in the foreground.

Each fairycake character has distinct sponge colouring, frosting details, and delicate wings:

One vanilla cake with lemon wings floats gracefully in the air (likely Miss Buttercup Bloom).

A sticky toffee cake with caramel colouring zips across from the right, trailing playful energy (Rolo Ripple).

Two cherry-coloured fairycakes stand on the ground smiling warmly — one likely to be Cherry Tumble.

A fairycake with a nutty, oat-topped sponge hovers low, holding a honey jar and looking slightly grumpy (Branberry Crumbletop).

A zesty orange cake with candied peel wings (Clementine Cocoa) flies toward the viewer with a joyful expression.

A glowing orange jellybee buzzes nearby, adding a touch of sparkle. In the background, pastel towers, cupcake trees, and spongey houses peek through a sugar-mist forest, suggesting a magical village beyond.

The overall tone is soft, magical, and inviting — a perfect representation of the gentle, sweet world of Fluffwood Hollow.

Chapter Six – Clementine Cocoa And The Tale That Came True

The Flickerloaf Fire burned bright in the heart of the Hollow that evening, its flames flickering into shapes that danced along with the stories being told.

Clementine Cocoa stood at the front, candied peel wings catching the firelight as she gestured wide, drawing the gathered fairycakes into her tale.

“…and as the Wafer Moon rose high, the Jelly King realised his crown was missing!” she declared, her chocolate-orange voice rich and warm. “He searched the peppermint plains, the fudge fields, and even the sugar seas, but it was nowhere to be found…”

The audience gasped in all the right places. Cherry sat forward, Rolo munched a biscuit a little too loudly, and Bluebell’s eyes gleamed in the firelight. Branberry sat at the back, arms folded — but even he was listening.

Clementine spun the story higher and higher, describing how the Jelly King followed a trail of glowing jellybees into a hidden grove — until one by one, the bees formed the shape of a crown in the air.

And then, as if on cue, a soft buzzing rose from behind the crowd.

A single jellybee — glowing bright gold — wobbled into the circle of light, hovered beside Clementine’s head, and traced a slow, deliberate loop in the air.

“Now, that’s what I call commitment from an audience,” Rolo whispered.

The jellybee looped again, this time in a more angular shape — three rounded points, like the top of a crown.

The fairycakes stared.

Clementine paused mid-story, lowering her voice. “It seems,” she said softly, “that our little friend here has a message.”

The jellybee gave one final wobble, then zipped away into the night, leaving a faint golden trail that shimmered before fading.

Clementine smiled, recovering her storyteller’s poise. “Well then,” she said, “where was I? Ah yes — the Jelly King…”

But as the flames danced and the story wound on, she knew this was more than coincidence. The jellybees were telling a story of their own — and it was one she intended to hear to the end.
