Image Description: A cheerful illustrated poster for the Fruit Salad Olympics. Set against a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds, the image shows four anthropomorphic fruits — a smiling strawberry, a happy pineapple, a cheerful blueberry, and a lively banana — all jumping with their arms raised in celebration. Above them, large text reads “Fruit Salad Olympics” in bold cream lettering. Below the title, five colorful rings (in blue, black, red, yellow, and green) overlap in a stylised nod to the Olympic symbol. The overall style is playful and cartoonish, with vibrant colours and a fun, energetic atmosphere.
Day Two – Strength, Splash, and Style
The games continued today with two fruity favourites: the Watermelon Weightlift and Synchronized Smoothie Swimming.
Event One: Watermelon Weightlift At the Pulp Pounder Arena, fruit athletes showed off their strength with a carved watermelon barbell challenge.
Contestants included Plum Pauline, Coconut Kev, Durian Dan, and Papaya Paula. Kev started strong but slipped on a rogue kiwi slice. Durian Dan lifted well but caused a stir due to his… aroma. Plum Pauline surprised everyone with solid technique, but it was Papaya Paula who stunned the crowd with a clean, steady lift and no fuss at all.
Gold: Papaya Paula Silver: Durian Dan Bronze: Plum Pauline
Event Two: Synchronized Smoothie Swimming Held at the Juicy Lagoon — a chilled pool of blended berry and banana smoothie — this event was both elegant and hilarious.
Team Berry Blast (Ruby Raspberry & Bluebell Blueberry) dazzled with spinning swirls. Team Citrus Surge (Lemon Lorna & Lime Lily) delivered a perfect citrus wheel formation. Team TropiTwist (Mango Max & Pineapple Pete) were bold but wildly uncoordinated — Pete backstroked into a floating guava.
Gold: Citrus Surge Silver: Berry Blast Bronze: TropiTwist (for enthusiasm)
Half-Time Juice Jam Between events, DJ Fruitloop took the stage, spinning apple-core vinyl while the Dancing Dates shimmied through clouds of passionfruit mist. Figaro the Fig performed a dramatic solo dance titled “The Fall of the Forbidden Fruit”, earning both applause and two standing bananas.
More juicy drama and spectacular spills to come!
