The Fruit Salad Olympics – Day Three

Image Description:
A cheerful illustrated poster for the Fruit Salad Olympics. Set against a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds, the image shows four anthropomorphic fruits — a smiling strawberry, a happy pineapple, a cheerful blueberry, and a lively banana — all jumping with their arms raised in celebration. Above them, large text reads “Fruit Salad Olympics” in bold cream lettering. Below the title, five colorful rings (in blue, black, red, yellow, and green) overlap in a stylised nod to the Olympic symbol. The overall style is playful and cartoonish, with vibrant colours and a fun, energetic atmosphere.

Day Three – Drama on the Field

Day Three brought sunshine, celebration, and the first real controversy of the games.

Event One: Peach Pole Vault
At the Skewer Heights arena, competitors launched themselves sky-high using bendy celery poles and bounced off spongey melon mats.

Contestants included Peachy Pam, Grape Greg, Apricot Annie, and a late-entry wildcard: Rogue Raspberry, who appeared out of nowhere with a very shiny seed coat and suspiciously symmetrical dimples.

Pam soared gracefully over the bar, cheered on by fans waving peach flags. Greg struggled with momentum, bouncing backward. Annie nailed her vault with a double twist. But it was Rogue Raspberry who stunned the crowd with a perfect arc… and then a dramatic superhero landing.

“That raspberry’s too perfect,” muttered one of the Berry Blast coaches.
”No one that small should be able to fly like that.”

Gold: Rogue Raspberry
Silver: Apricot Annie
Bronze: Peachy Pam

Rumblings of protest followed the medal ceremony. Team Berry Blast lodged an official complaint.

Event Two: Cherry Pit Shotput
Fruits lined up to hurl heavy cherry pits into the air with all the juicy strength they could muster.

Plum Pauline, fresh off her bronze in weightlifting, gave a strong throw. Cantaloupe Carla used a twirl-spin technique. Lemon Lorna gave it her best zesty fling, but it was Banana B.A. Peel who shocked everyone by hurling his pit into the juice cooler beyond the arena.

“That one was for my peel-mates back home!” he shouted, flexing both arms.

Gold: Banana B.A. Peel
Silver: Plum Pauline
Bronze: Carla Cantaloupe

Backstage Buzz:

* Coach Kiwi was seen arguing with the Fruit Games Committee about “Raspberry enhancement irregularities.”

* Rogue Raspberry was spotted leaving the locker hut carrying a vial labelled “Seed Fusion Formula – Property of Dr. Fruitstein.”

* A papaya fainted in the queue for protein snacks.

Day Three ends with tension rising and fans asking — is this a game, or a genetic experiment gone juicy?
